Besides DVDs and CDs...

I tend to collect rare video tapes of vintage animation and music videos. Especially those that aren't yet or will never be released on DVD. Cool For good, not evil.

Also  records, though they're taking up space... which I don't buy much very often. Also random items like cheesy plastic cartoon figurines and pictures I find at second hand stores.

Are you into Japanese anime and mangas?  I was never into that.  I don't understand those mangas.  The cartoon that I like are Ren & Stimpy, Beavis & Butthead, and the classic Bugs Bunny cartoon.  The funniest ones were the Coyote and Roadrunner.  Everything the Coyote did blew up in his face.

I'm more into Looney Tunes, Disney (Mickey, Donald, a few movies like "Dumbo"), MGM (Tom & Jerry, Droopy),  "Ren & Stimpy", "Beavis & Butt-Head", "Tiny Toon Adventures" (I have a few tapes and still holds up well), and  "Rocky & Bullwinkle".

I find anime overrated and while "Family Guy", which also appears to have a cult following, had it's moments during it's first three seasons, it have gotten worse since it returned.

Though I collect vinyl, the first new LP I bought, which was recently, was The Ting Tings "We Started Nothing". Yes, vinyl records are still made, though not much and a few artists.

No, I'm not a DJ.

A fun project to do with album covers...

Note: make sure it's a another copy

I've actually done something like that recently.

I recently bought several Disney comic books.

Even one "Rock & Roll" comic of Paula Abdul out of curiousity. Though unlike the infamous Sci Fi pop princesses issues I heard about, it's more of a 'Day In A Life'.

Other comics I have:

4 "Married with Children"
1 "Ren & Stimpy"
2 "Heathcliff"
1 "Looney Tunes" (2008)
3 "Donald Duck Adventures" (80s)
3 "Mickey & Donald" (Gladstone from later '80's/early '90's)
1 "Disney Afternoon"
1 "Uncle Scrooge" (early '90's)
1 "Uncle Scrooge Adventures" (featuring a reprint of a Carl Barks story)
3 "Mickey Mouse" (80s)
4 "Walt Disney Comics & Stories" (three from 80s and one from 2007... that cost about 8 bucks!)
1 Mickey & Goofy giveaway from Epcot (1985)
1 "Rock & Roll Comics: Paula Abdul"

Used to have some as a kid, including "Beavis & Butt-Head" & "Ren & "Stimpy". Also many superhero comics, though not really into them anymore... ugh! should've saved them since they could be worth trading to those stores.

The recent Disney comics from Gemstone are now like 8 dollars... though some of the older (mostly from the '80's & '90's) are sold about 3 to 5 dollars.

BTW, I'm not that comic book guy from "The Simpsons"

Though not heavily into comics, recently bought a few:

"Bugs Bunny: A Comic Celebration"... a retrospect featuring 18 stories spanning from the 1940's to the 1990's (published in 1998) including one featuring Porky Pig dressed as a Mountie, which he's mistakened for in Canada and also Wile E. Coyote going after the penguin from "Frigid Hare" & "8 Ball Bunny" in Antartica. A good find.  Cool

"Beavis & Butt-Head", the boys trying to hit on Tom Anderson's niece and ends up at a summercamp.

"Rock & Doll Comics: Def Leppard", about the UK hardrock band

1990 Bugs Bunny trilogy from DC comics...  It was OK... some parts good. (Three in original pack...yeah I took 'em out since they're meant to be read), though liked how it broked through the fourth wall (ie Daffy smashing the narrator quote) and some randomness like the ending. It's about Bugs & Daffy searching for Elmer Fudd statues before Witch Hazels does...

Also two modern "Looney Tunes" comics and some "Beavis & Butt-Head"

Also saw Jerry Beck's "50 Greatest Cartoons" book... a rare find, though didn't buy. (Besides Disney, Warner Bros, and MGM... some Canadian festival shorts. Also know "What's Opera Doc?" is #1)... 30 bucks (maybe next time...)

Though there'll be a "100 Greatest Looney Tunes" coming soon.  Cool

Eh, it's a hobby.

I remember an episode of Looney Toons where Bugs Bunny was filling in for the Roadrunner who was on vacation.  I haven't seen that in who knows how many years now.

There was about 5 cartoons with Bugs against Wile E. Coyote. Though my favorite would be the one when the Coyote used a giant magnet ("Compressed Hare").

"Hare Breadth Hurry", which Bugs fills in for the Road Runner

While it lasts, though not on the Golden Collection set and don't think it was released on video/DVD.

There was one where the Coyote tried to build a giagantic bomb to blow up Bugs Bunny but it blew up on him instead.  I remember Bugs' line at the end was "I bet ours is the first country to ever put a coyote into orbit."

I remember he was in a cave when it went off.  I don't think I've seen that in 25 years now.  It was one of my favorites.
