"Electric Youth" featured her second #1 "Lost In Your Eyes" and two more  Top 40 hits ("No More Rhyme" & "Electric Youth"). Unfortunately, "We Could Be Together" flopped, though "Should've Been The One", "Silence Speaks (A Thousand Words)", and "Who Loves Ya Baby?" also might've been  potential hits.

"Who Loves Ya" was originally written for Olivia Newton John and "Over The Wall" for Madonna, but both got turned down.

"Electric Youth" did have some very good songs on it and her biggest hit of her career but for some reason I still listen to "Out of the Blue" more.

I love Shades of the Past and Helplessly in Love. It shows how much her writhing "grew" up in a matter of 2 years. Although she probably had written those dongs before EY came out. But compared to OOTB the lyrics on this album seem so much more mature.

In the "Thank You" section, she mentioned the band Britny Fox.

I know she liked hair metal as a teenager, but what I find odd is that they had a hit song with "Girlschool" that's appears to be a precursor to a certain trashy pop singer who came into the scene in 1999.

Lost in Your Eyes still my all time favorite, Should've been the one its so much of Billy Joel song, and the camp fire mix of We Could Be Together for is show her vocals clearly unlike the electric version.

Recent issue of Rolling Stone has Top 10 of February 23rd, 1989 in "From The Vault"

Deb's "Lost In Your Eyes" is #2 (I think it went #1 in March), #1 was Paula Abdul's "Straight Up"

#3 Tone Loc "Wild Thing"

I didn't know Rick Astley still had Top 10 hits in the US by 1989, which he's #6 with "She Wants To Dance With Me".

March 23, 1989... "Lost In Your Eyes" was #6

Though peaked at #1  Cool

(Mark Goodman said was #1 for three weeks, though according to "Rock on the Net" it was #1 for two... confused)

I think "Lost In Your Eyes" hit #1 the week of Valentine's Day.  I remember listening to a syndicated radio show and the announcer said something about how it was the #1 song on that day.

Yeah I thought it was interesting too.  I heard Mark Goodman too last night talk about it.  He was funny he said you were either in Camp Tiffany or camp Debbie and how Mark liked Deb because she wrote her own music.
