Janet Jackson Rock WitchU Tour @ Staples Center Los Angeles 9/17

I have been a fan since her days on Different Strokes. I have been lucky enough to see her on the "Janet Tour", "The velvet rope tour" and the "AFY" you tour. All very good concerts. I kind of lost track of her after the "AFY Tour". I heard but did not buy the 20 YO CD. Then earlier this year I did hear about the Discipline CD and bought it the day it was released.

When tickets for this tour went on sale for her current tour I really did not plan on going. However when I found out I would have the past wednesday night free I logged onto ticketmaster.com to find out what was available. There were tickets in section 101. Even though tickets were kind of pricey (that was the most I have ever paid for any concert ticket) I could not resist and got the ticket. The section I was in was right by the outer corner of the cat walk. GREAT seats.

Each time I go and see her she seems to get better and better every time. AMAZING show wednesday night. almost like a greatest hits tour. So many of my favorites. I think my favorite moments were when she did songs from her first four CD's. "Together Again" is definitely a favorite to see live. It was kind of strange to see the song in the middle instead of the end of the concert as she has done on past tours. All the songs she did from the Control and RN CD were just great. She may not have the very best voice but god what a show she puts together.

Going to concerts is my absolute favorite thing to do. The number of concerts I have seen over the past few years has decreased simply because of the price of the tickets and I am very picky about who I see in concert. When I see a show like I saw wednesday night it reminds me in a very big way of why I love going to concerts so much. The Lighiting the pyrotechnics and just the over all show just is amazing. Each time I go see her it is just amazing how they put together a show like that. Sensory Overload wednesday night and I love seeing a show like that. This was also one of the longest concerts I have ever been to. She was on stage for 2 1/2 hours. I don't think there were many more songs she could have performed

If Janet comes to your neck of the woods with this tour I would recommend going and I don't think you will be disappointed. Now I can't wait to see my next concert which will be Carrie Underwood in November.

I enjoy several of Janet's hits from 1986's "Control" to 1993's "Janet" like "What Have You Done For Me Lately", "Control", "Nasty", "Miss You Much", "Rhytmn Nation", "Black Cat", "If", and "Anytime, Any Place". Though not much of her later material and "Feedback" has to be the worst I've heard. Though have to admit that she's much better than another female pop "superstar" from the past 25 years.

Only been to one concert, which was Natasha Bedingfield with Veronicas & some generic female folk singer a few months ago. It was great and even got to get an autograph from Natasha Bedingfield. Cool

Not really interested in concerts since there isn't much out there and also they tend to be pricey.

Thought about Fergie, but I only like a few of her songs and I don't think I would want to listen to "Weird Al" Yankovic for two hours. He's funny, but only in small doses.  Also would rather not go into a mosh pit...
