What's the point its pretty much the same as the first one?

Erica
It's to build up interest from people that might only be casual fans or maybe not even fans at all but might be interested in what it's about.

Not gonna happen. I mean, that magazine well known for it's "articles" put a Paris lookalike on the cover of the issue deb was in! Does she REALLY think casual fans were gonna be interested?

Shaq sent shoes instead of jeans.  I wonder how big his shoe would look on Deborah's foot?

Deb to star in Cirque Dreams Fantasy in this Summer

Another Cirque Dreams First !

CIRQUE DREAMS Jungle Fantasy

featuring

DEBBIE GIBSON

In the role of Mother Nature

Created and Directed by Neil Goldberg

Only at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods

July 27 – September 1, 2010

**********************************************************************************************

DIRECT FROM BROADWAY, CIRQUE DREAMS Jungle Fantasy will heat up the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods this summer. Proclaimed, “The grandest circus spectacle east of Vegas” by New York Magazine, CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY debuted at the Broadway Theatre in June 2008 and is the first and only show of its kind ever to perform on Broadway.  This groundbreaking theatrical spectacle will again become an entertainment first when Debbie Gibson, the Original Pop Princess, performs in the title role of Mother Nature.  Never before has a pop star or celebrity been featured as the lead vocalist in a cirque show. CIRQUE DREAMS Jungle Fantasy opens at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods on July 27, 2010 and runs through September 1, 2010 for 36 performances only.  Tickets are on sale now.

Created and directed by Neil Goldberg, CIRQUE DREAMS Jungle Fantasy is an exotic encounter inspired by nature’s unpredictable creations that are brought to life by an international cast of soaring aerialists, spine-bending contortionists, acrobats, jugglers and musicians.  The astounding feats performed in this action packed Cirque Dream are enhanced with over 150 spectacular costumes which were nominated for an American Theatre Wing Best Costume Design Award.  All this comes to life in a fantastical jungle setting filled with flowers, mushrooms and giant trees ignited by striking visual effects. From the breathtaking ballet of butterflies and soaring birds to the balancing giraffes and flipping monkeys, this world-class explosion of athleticism includes never before seen acts exclusively at MGM Foxwoods that will exhilarate and entertain audiences of all ages.

Performing the role of Mother Nature, Debbie Gibson exploded on the pop music scene at age 16 becoming the youngest person ever to write, produce and perform a number one single, (“Foolish Beat”).  After rising to fame in the ’80s with hit songs “Electric Youth,” “Only In My Dreams” and “Lost in Your Eyes”, the Long Island native focused on musical theatre, performing in the Broadway companies of Les Misérables, Cabaret, Beauty and the Beast and the original West End production of Grease as well as the national tours of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Funny Girl and Cinderella. Gibson has sold more than 16 million albums worldwide.  (www.deborah-gibson.com) “I’m so excited to be a part of an entertainment first and combine my skills as both a

Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy featuring Debbie Gibson

solo performer and a theatrical actress in Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy,” says Gibson. “Neil is a pioneer and

the best at melding family entertainment, spectacle, and stylized circus performance. I’m thrilled to be a part of such an exotic all around entertainment experience! After over 2 decades in show biz, it’s a first for me!”

CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY is the brainchild of Neil Goldberg’s theatrical imagination and the Cirque Dreams brand of entertainment, creators of international performance, touring sensations Cirque Dreams Illumination, Cirque Dreams Holidaze, Cirque Dreams Pandemonia, Cirque Dreams Coobrila, Cirque Ingenieux, and the first show of its kind at sea…Cirque Dreams & Dinner on board the Norwegian EPIC.  Over 20 million fans have attended a Cirque Dreams show throughout the U.S. and abroad in the past 5 years.

The New York Post proclaims CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY “Dazzling…a highly theatrical presentation replete with elaborate scenery and wall-to-wall music”, and for children whose passion is gymnastics or jungle fauna, the New York Times says, “Waste no shekels on tickets for The Lion King.  This is the show for you.”  The New York Daily News hails it “Colorful, imaginative and expertly performed…a fantasy worth indulging.”  USA Today raves, “Dazzling!  A fantastical tale of an enchanted jungle” and the L.A. Times calls it “Jaw dropping!  A whiz-bang family friendly spectacle.”

I saw this same show last year when it came to town as part of the Broadway series.   What I saw was okay but I have seen alot the Cirque De soule shows and thought they were better.  The show didn't have a big star in it so hopefully Deb will add way more flavor to what I saw.

Don't they also have a long running show at one of the casinos in Las Vegas?

I'm sure that there are still plenty of Elvis impersonators in Vegas.
