I remember that one where they ran through those pipes.  When they went back through the Coyote was still small and the Roadrunner started chasing him instead.  There was one though where he caught the Roadrunner and was so surprised he started celebrating and the Roadrunner just walked away or something like that.  I can't remember what episode it was or exactly how he caught him.

A historical moment: Coyote catches Road Runner

The last two minutes of "Soup or Sonic".

I think this one that I'm thinking of might have been in one of those cartoon specials made in the 70s.  I only saw it once.

It was part of "Bugs Bunny Bustin' Out All Over" from 1980 and directed by Chuck Jones (the same who created the Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote and directed most of the original cartoons).

A lot of those specials made in the 70s weren't very good and paled next to the originals.  Warner Bros. should have stuck with the saying of it's not broken don't fix it.

Agree, though I  like the Christmas special for the "Bugs Bunny Christmas Carol" and "Freeze Frame".

The only postive thing I can say is that two of the original directors (Friz Freleng, Chuck Jones, both were still working on other projects at the time), animators, and voice-overs worked on them.

Though obiviously lacked good animation/background music, didn't have much creative freedom, and many characters were toned down. Especially since it was around the time the cartoons were being edited.

The worst were probably the ones that actually used short clips of the cartoons (dubbed) with new animation. For some reason, few have been released as stand alone DVDs.

Also would later be done for several "compilation" movies in the 1980's like "Bugs Bunny's 3rd Movie: 1001 Rabbit Tales" and "Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island". Well, atleast some cartoons from "Fantastic Island" were uncut like "Louvre, Come Back To Me" and the one with Tweety & Sylvester at the vet.

That's more or less why cartoons aren't any good now either.  Now somebody can't tell a joke without it first being reviewed by a board that gives it the ax if they think it might offend somebody else, or some special interest group, or whatever.  It's the main reason why cartoons have become so bland and to the point that it's hard to tell the difference between them.  That's one of the reasons that made "Ren & Stimpy," and "Beavis and Butt-Head" work is that they had unique animation and they weren't anywhere close to being politically correct.

Recently got the Pink Panther DVD set... though I've watched it  on Boomerang.

"The Pink Panther" cartoons were spun off from the animated title sequence of the live action film of the same title after being a hit.

The debut cartoon short "The Pink Phink" won a 1964 Academy Award and also the first that a debut  from a studio (De Patie-Freleng) to win an award. Also the fifth for Friz, which his cartoons  from Warner Bros. won 4.

The "little white man" doesn't have a formal name, but was based on Friz Freleng. According to a few interviews from the Pink Panther cartoon DVD set.

As of now, DePatie-Freleng theatrical cartoons can be seen for free.

Pink Panther only spoke in two cartoons, though stopped since there were negative replies. "Sink Pink" was funny, which he only spoke at the end, though "Pink Ice" was OK.

Some favorites:

"Pink Plasma", Pink Panther encounters a vampire in a spooky castle

"The Pink Phink", 1964 Academy Award winner with the guy trying to paint his house blue, but ends up being covered with pink paint...

"We Give Pink Stamps", Pink Panther in a department store (laying like a rug) with the security guard on the look out

"Pink-A-Rella", Pink Panther helps a young woman after he finds a wand, which was dropped by a witch...

"Pet Pink Pebbles"... Pink Panther accidentally buys a pet rock in the alley, which  tends to follow him (based on the pet rock craze from the mid '70's, which the cartoon was done)

"Pink Posies"... similar to "Pink Phink", but with flowers

"Pinto Pink", Pink Panther attempts to ride a horse...

"Pink-Tails For Two", Pink Panther's tail grows long after growth fluid spills on it and encounters mandy problems including a a love-sick snake

American Film Institute's Top 10 Animated movies (ranked in 2008)

note: "Fantasia" wasn't released in 1942 (which the AFI site stated)

10. "Cinderella" (1950, Disney)
9. "Finding Nemo" (2003, Pixar/Disney)
8. "Shrek" (2001, Dreamworks)
7. "Beauty & The Beast" (1991, Disney)
6. "Toy Story" (1995, Pixar/Disney)
5. "Fantasia" (1940, Disney)
4. "The Lion King" (1994, Disney)
3. "Bambi" (1942, Disney)
2. "Pinocchio" (1940, Disney)
1. "Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs" (1937, Disney)

Just because "Snow White" was the first US animated full length feature doesn't mean it's exactly the greatest

Also, half of the movies are too new are the rest are only limited towards Disney...

How about some more "adult" films that have a cult following like "Heavy Metal" or  some anime to add some more variety?

Or something extremely obscure...

(It's an OK film...)

I remember him talking at the end of one of them and I vaguely remember what he said.

Have you seen the Pink Panter animation at the beginning and end of each one of the Pink Panter movies with Peter Sellers?

"Sink Pink"

"Why Can't Men Be More Like Animals", at 6:06

I've seen the intro from the first "Pink Panther" on the DVD set, which  features several animated intros from the films on the bonus features.

I knew it was something like that but I couldn't remember it exactly.  It's probably been more than 30 years since I last saw that one.

Watch the intro to "The Pink Panther Strikes Again."  It's an animated intro and the best movie in the series.

The channel guide stated "Have A Laugh" would air on the Disney Channel after some movie, which are edited/dubbed versions of classic Disney shorts, but instead they aired "Clock Cleaners" un-cut.  Shocked  Cool (with the "Sez You" intact, which is edited out in most DVD releases and the official site for some reason)

Not sure if they've done this before, but a few times have seen the short 4 minutes versions...

Though missed about  three minutes  of it since I was flipping channels.... (then again, I have it on DVD...also with the "sez you",which is part of a tv special that was included on the "Alice In Wonderland: Masterpiece Edition" DVD)

Though appears that the full versions rarely show, "Early To Bed" (Donald Duck) will be shown on Friday, March 19 at 1:50.

Well, atleast the classics have some exposure and the site features the full versions.

Quote
This is the short that almost got Donald Duck banned from Wal-Mart. The Rev. Donald Wildmon of the American family association swore that he though he heard Donald Duck, in one of his may indecipherable tirades, quack a certain four letter word. He then succeeded in getting Wal-Mart to return the "Fun on the Job" videos to Disney and refuse to sell them. In reality, Donald is just saying "Sez you!"

OK...that or the fact Donald Duck was banned in Finland for not wearing pants have to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard
