John Mayer's first celeb is Deb

At 4:00

Ironically he mentions that every decade has a "Taylor Swift" and Deb have compared herself with her.

Every decade there is a Taylor Swift?  Huh Sorry, to say that Taylor Can't sing Live. Off key most of the time. Though I do acknowledge Taylor is a good songwriter.

Rephrase, every decade has a "Deborah Gibson".

Deb's one of a kind.

Though I'm actually indifferent towards Taylor Swift though admit that she's talented.

Yes, I do agree with you about Deb. No one other than Deb can write 100 over songs in a year. Deb is my hero.   Kiss

I would have to say that maybe Alicia Keys is the most like Deborah today considering that she writes her own songs, she plays piano, etc.  The only real difference is that Alicia is R&B.

Deb interviews from 1995, promoting "Think With Your Heart" album

Note: Deb's now involved with a doc...a real doc not one that plays one on tv

(yeah I know Chris Bruno didn't play one...just a take on that saying)

"For Better Or Worse"

One of Deb's best ballads...

"Come Only In My Dreams"

Another mash-up, now with "Come Into My World" from Kylie Minogue...

Barely hear Kylie, mostly an instrumental of the 1997 dance version of "Only In My Dreams" and honestly, I don't like the mixes (both loaded by same person)

"Only In My Dreams & Shake Your Love" (1987)

Appears if first few minutes been cut out and the quality varies

Saw bits of the performance on a montage done by a fan from the early '90's that was on YouTube... not sure what tv show/special it's from

Deb wishes a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year

Clips I noticed:

TBS Night Tracks

What MTV special did she appeared in on the second clip?

"Show Biz Today" from Japan

Another Japanese show from around 1996

I remember two of them the night tracks one and Nick Rocks one.  she hosted Nick Rocks alot during the Holidays in 1987.  That was when I first saw her on tv and saw the video Shake your love. I can't remember if Nick Rocks lived to see the 90's or if that show went off the air in 1989. I used to watch that show every day as a kid.   LOL Joe from Cbicago.

Nick Rocks (ran from 1982 to 1989, according to Wiki)

...the "MTV Networks" had me confused, though Nick is owned by Viacom

I remember her being on "Nick Rocks," maybe twice.  I think once was in late 1987 and the other time it was in either early 1988 or around spring of that year.
