Deb takes center stage in Cirque show

Pop star Debbie Gibson shows off her theatrical side in the critically acclaimed, live stage production of Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy.

Gibson plays Mother Nature in the show, which combines the European cirque-style of performance artistry with American circus arts and Broadway theatrics. The engagement will be from July 17-September 1 at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods in Connecticut. Click here for more info.

The “Foolish Beat” singer has performed in the Broadway companies of Les Misérables, Cabaret, Beauty and the Beast and the original West End production of Grease as well as the national tours of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Funny Girl and Cinderella.

“Hey Everyone! Here’s a 1st look of me in my birdcage (yes, a birdcage!) working on the opening number for Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy! There may be something familiar about the dream themed finale : ). Hint hint! All I’ll say is, I still marvel at how music trancends time and geography. This show is global! I met performers today from all over the world! Amazing! Neil Goldberg’s vision and passion is contagious and if I was excited before, I am now officially fired up!!! I saw the show Monday night it was great.  They really did alot with it since I saw it last and this production was way better.  I liked the new only in my dreams.   MGM has a great pool.
