sourceSome details on the show...
The new show, which debuts later this year, will be very familiar to fans of the Nineties original. "They'll be self-contained segments with the boys in different situations like they used to be," Toffler says. "But this time around, they'll watch Jersey Shore, UFC matches and user-generated videos from YouTube, in addition to music videos." All of the programming will be displayed on the duo's TV, even if it comes from YouTube — "like silly videos of cats playing music."
YouTube? Can't picture them computer savvy...even in the 21st century. Though the article stated it'll be on television. (well, there's some tv shows that showcased viral videos)
"Jersey Shore", UFC matches...makes sense.
Though the show had poked fun of MTV before in the mid 1990's when the boys were stated that the channel is only shows & snowboarding while watching a
Weezer video.
Even with Mike Judge on board, not too sure...
Plus, would Stewart even wear a "Winger" shirt?
Honestly, a good idea for a special for MTV's 30th (if there's one) could feature Beavis & Butt-Head ripping on various vintage MTV clips, performances, promos, shows (especially their own), etc. from 1981 to the present.
1. the launch/moonman
2. Kiss without make-up
3. Madonna's 1984 VMA performance (along with other notable performances)
4. some Spring Break clips
5. some "Headbangers Ball", "Yo! MTV Raps", "120 Minutes", etc
6. infamous shows from "House of Style", "Real World", "The Osbournes", "TRL", etc.
7. VMA & MTV movie award clips
8. various VJ segments
9. music videos, especially classics they haven't critiqued
