Deborah does Playboy


On 29 January 2005, it was officially confirmed that Deborah Gibson would appear in a photo shoot in Playboy.  As the topic is quite popular, it's now got it's own page on this site.

The Details:

I wrote an open letter to Deborah over her decision to pose in Playboy magazine.  I also wrote a letter to Playboy magazine, which got printed in the June 2005 issue of Playboy magazine.  The text of the letter is below, a bit short due to shortage of space in the magazine.

I run the largest unofficial website devoted to Deborah Gibson (deb-ski.com).  Contrary to the positive posts at her official site, many longtime fans feel she sold and is a hypocrite by posing for you.

For years Deborah has criticized performers such as Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears for being overtly sexual instead of letting their music speak for itself.  Since Deborah has taken the same route, she leaves the impression that she now feels her music isn't good enough either.
